Carlisle Train Variety: Over a few hours 17 August 2026

Description
Monday 17th August 2026 at Carlisle. We start at Etterby looking towards the yard and Kingmoor depot, which seems very quiet. Among the passenger trains we see the midday engineer's train and the empty stone train heading from Kingmoor depot to Shap for what I understand will be the last few days trains of 'sand' from Shap to BNFL at Drigg.
South to Citadel station for the early afternoon 'rush' and then later a busy sequence of trains with a delayed Pendolino among them.
Finally an MPV from Slateford had sneaked into the Holding Sidings - I'd forgotten about it. It looks like its been configured for remote track inspection.
