See the scenes at Crewe as the big day arrives for 89001 'The Badger' as it makes its revenue service return after 25 years and also heads to Scotland for the first time.

See the fanfare around the loco with Ted Cassady getting respected by the LSL team which was a nice touch.

Also present at Crewe was 66560 running around a short set of HOBC hopper wagons and 82201 wanting some of the limelight alongside LSL stablemate 82139 which is paired up with the Badger for the day.

Edit - Sadly the Badger subsequently only made it as far as Warrington BQ before needing the support of 90001 and will head to Carlisle only today. Scotland will keep for another day.
