TRAINS AT EDALE , Every Train Through This Stunning Peak District Station in 36°C Heat! 25/06/26

Welcome to the beautiful Peak District village of Edale! Today we're spending over six hours at one of Britain's most picturesque stations, capturing every train between 08:50 and 15:20 in blazing 36°C sunshine. From Trans-Pennine Express and Northern services to heavy freight hauled by Class 66s and a Class 70, there's something for everyone—let's get started!

☀️ Welcome to another day of railway action from one of the UK's most scenic locations!

Today we're at Edale Station, nestled in the heart of the Peak District National Park, where I filmed every train passing through between 08:50 and 15:20 on 25th June 2026, during an incredible 36°C summer heatwave.

Edale is much more than just a railway station. This charming unmanned station is beautifully maintained with colourful flower displays and enjoys spectacular views of the surrounding hills including Kinder Scout, making it a favourite destination for walkers, photographers and railway enthusiasts alike.

The railway here is equally fascinating. Trains work hard on the steep gradients of the Hope Valley Line, providing fantastic engine sounds as they climb away from the station in both directions. Just a few hundred feet away sits the historic Edale Signal Box, still controlling trains using traditional signalling equipment alongside classic lower quadrant semaphore signals, adding even more character to this remarkable location.

If you're visiting, don't miss the excellent Penny Pot Café at the bottom of the station ramp, a popular stop for walkers tackling the Pennine Way, cyclists and railway enthusiasts looking for refreshments before exploring the surrounding countryside.
