90021 & 67007 Racing Through Wigan - 01st May 2023

DB Malcom Group liveried 90021 is seen racing south along the west coast main line and through Wigan North Western on the night of Monday 1st May 2023 with DB Cargo 67007 in its livery celebrating Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee at the rear.

The stunning liveried locomotives were hauling a rake of InterCity MK2 coaches from Edinburgh to Burton via Newcastle and a reversal at Carlisle having worked a private DB tour the with the 90 leading from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh.

The stock move was running 16 late here having been held at Carlisle for 397011/1M93 on a Manchester service and followed it all the way down meaning it would clash with 319368/1N84 here which was on time.

There is always something to spoil your fun at Wigan. I only found out about this train at 4pm as I spotted the path.

Tuesday the 19th of April 2022 saw the impressive locomotive fully decked out in the Group's centenary year livery as part of the 100-year celebrations. The class 90 locomotive 90021 has been dedicated to Donald Malcolm who the company owes its success to following its inception and due to his hard work and sharp business mindset.
