99012 & 99013 ARRIVE! | 37512 TACKLES The Lickey Incline & The Nuclear Flasks Run To Berkeley! |

Join me for a packed couple of days of railway action around Worcestershire, featuring some rare and interesting workings across the region, including the delivery of brand-new Class 99 locomotives, freight, Network Rail workings and plenty of West Midlands Railway action.

We start at Worcestershire Parkway, where we catch the delivery of brand-new 99012 & 99013, fresh off the docks and on their way to their new home. The pair are hauled by the veteran 47749 on 0Z47 0920 Leicester L.I.P. to Portbury Auto Terminal Gbf, giving us a great opportunity to see the new locomotives making their first journey into the UK rail network.

The following day, we head to Droitwich Spa to capture some West Midlands Railway action, as well as 6V05 0912 Round Oak to Margam T.C. This service had been unable to run for some time following fires in the Stourbridge area, which resulted in the railway line being closed.

After Droitwich, we make our way to Stoke Works to catch 66786 working 6M42 0936 Avonmouth Hanson Sdg Gbrf to Penyffordd Cement Gbrf. The train then stops at Bromsgrove station to allow passing passenger services, giving us the perfect opportunity to get ahead of it and capture it again at our next location — Vigo Bridge, towards the top of the famous Lickey Incline.

At Vigo Bridge, we manage to capture:

🚂 37512 – 0M58 1016 Cardiff Canton Sidings to Derby R.T.C. (Network Rail)

🚂 66786 – 6M42 0936 Avonmouth Hanson Sdg Gbrf to Penyffordd Cement Gbrf

🚂 68005 – 4V44 1042 Daventry DRS (Tesco) to Wentloog (Freightliners)

🚂 68003 & 68004 – 6M56 1118 Berkeley C.E.G.B. to Crewe Coal Sidings (DRS)

The final working is particularly special, with 68003 & 68004 working top-and-tail on the Berkeley C.E.G.B. to Crewe Coal Sidings service — a type of freight working that has become increasingly rare these days.

After filming the action at Vigo Bridge, we head towards the top of the Lickey Incline for the main event — 37512!

A fantastic couple of days packed with new locomotives, classic traction, freight trains and some excellent railway action around Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
