Class 99 Flakes in Service plus a 345, 43s, 66s at Rugby and Coventry 01 September 2026

Tuesday 1st September and I went on a trip south with Paul of West Coast Mainline Trains. It was a great day but almost a disaster for me as will become clear.
Our plan was to go to Wolverton for WCML action. However, at Crewe we noticed 89001 was moving at the LSL depot. It was due to do a test run to Stafford. Change of plans saw us go to Stafford and Rugby instead. 'The Badger' looked fantastic in the bright sunlight at Stafford with 86101 s backup. We saw an Elizabeth Line 345 unit on its mileage run plus several freights passing through.
Then on to Rugby. More freights recorded before disaster. My camcorder decided there was a problem with the SD Card and unbeknown to me, reformatted it! Deleted everything recorded so far. I didn't find out until downloading the footage for editing!!!!
What I managed to successfully record were THREE freights being Class 99s! We also saw that Elizabeth line 345 again plus two (just) Network Rail test trains. Other freights too plus Avanti trains passing at speed.
On the way north we had to change trains at Coventry with more freight in the short time there.
