A pretty crazy morning at Oxford on 4th September, beginning with no less than x4 Locomotive Services Class 20s BR Green 20096 + 20107 'Jocelyn Feilding 1940-2020' and Railfreight Grey 20118 'Saltburn-by-the-Sea' + 20132 top and tailing a short formed LSL Chairman's Train set, as part of a private charter.
Similar to what we saw back in February https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38Z5sotGcgw this was again a working to convey GWR staff and industry partners over the East West route to various locations firstly Bedford St Johns, then London Euston and London Paddington. The 20 hauled set took the the senior management from GWR while a GWR IET 800013 was chartered as part of the industry collaboration to take more staff, with both trains following each other across the East West to the Capital.
There was more heritage action with Locomotive Services 57003 'Inter City Railway Society - 50th Anniversary 1973-2023' + 57302 hauling tomorrows English Riviera Express stock with 50050 'Fearless' dead in tow to Eastleigh, lots of freight action including GBRF diesel, Class 66 66718 'Peter, Lord Hendy of Richmond Hill, of Imber in the County of Wiltshire' on the China Clays and Rail Ops Group 93009 + 93010 on an out and back light engine move from Crewe to Hinksey Sidings and back! | 04.09.2026
