Following the last days of the Southwestern Class 455 I was fortunate enough to catch Rail Operations Group 37884 “Cepheus”, dragging the units up to Derby on two separate movements at Ridgmont station, amid the peaceful passing of Class 150s.
It felt greatly solemn to see the contrast between the excitement of two such legendary units sharing the rails together, and the sadness of knowing this will be the last journey of the veteran 455s as they meet their fate in the cutting yard, and I was glad to see these trains one last time.
