Description
A very pleasant session spent at Radley on the Cherwell Valley Line where we see services from Great Western Railway, Cross Country and freight from GBRF, DB Cargo UK and Heavy Haul Rail.

This is actually the second of two stations that were built here, the first was Abington Junction which was opened by Great Western Railway in 1856. The current station was opened in 1873.

There was a branch line to Abington which was eventually closed to passenger traffic in 1963. The branch line was still used by freight traffic up until the late 1980s.

My next film is from Cathiron on the West Coast Mainline.
