Heavy Haul Convoy and Two Charters at Carlisle 12 September 2026
Player
Description
Saturday 12th September 2026 at Carlisle.
Despite the steam ban being eased somewhat, West Coast Railways were unable to supply a steam loco (ie Tangmere) for the Settle Carlisle Steam Special! Thus it arrived with its usual pair of 57s. As it left for the S&C in the afternoon, LSL's West Highland Pullman set passed through as The Lord of the Isles Pullman to Inverness for a run on the Sunday to Kyle of Lochalsh.
A convoy of Heavy Haul Rail 66s also passed though en route for Edinburgh's Millerhill yard.
Several intermodals too with Classes 88 and 90.
The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
Any observations are my own and not intended to show any authority and may show my misunderstanding.
