Waverley Charter and Sunday Engineer's Trains at Carlisle 13 September 2026
Yet again West Coast Railways were unable to supply a steam loco (ie Tangmere) for the Waverley charter from York. I suppose a pair of smoking 47s class as heritage locos these days even if ubiquitous for most of my life.
The other highlight really were the air of Engineer's trains returning from taking ballast to Bradley Wood Junction on the TransPennine Route Upgrade.
Plenty of pendos, 397s, 158s etc.
The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
Any observations are my own and not intended to show any authority and may show my misunderstanding.
