41313’s First Visit to the Severn Valley Railway | Autumn Steam Gala | Arrives, Propels & TURNS! |

🚂 Ivatt Class 2 No. 41313 | SVR Autumn Steam Gala 2026 | Isle of Wight Steam Railway Visitor
The Severn Valley Railway’s Autumn Steam Gala welcomed a very special visitor in the shape of Ivatt Class 2 2-6-2T No. 41313, appearing courtesy of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
This visit marked several important milestones: it was 41313’s first-ever appearance at the Severn Valley Railway, the first visit by an Isle of Wight-based locomotive to the SVR, and only the third Ivatt Class 2 2-6-2 tank locomotive to visit the railway in preservation.
In this video, we see 41313 arrive at Kidderminster Town with a shuttle service from Highley, bringing its train into the station as part of the busy Autumn Steam Gala operation. The locomotive then propels the stock into the carriage sidings at Kidderminster before heading for the turntable.
41313 then gets a chance to make several movements on the turntable — seemingly one more turn than was strictly required for operational purposes! There was, I’m sure, a perfectly good reason for the additional movement, but whatever the reason, it made for some great footage of this visiting Ivatt tank in action.
The SVR Autumn Steam Gala, held from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 September, brought together an impressive line-up of visiting and home-fleet locomotives, including:

With a busy four-day timetable between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, the Autumn Steam Gala provided plenty of opportunities to see both visiting and resident locomotives at work across the Severn Valley.
