Mexborough and Conisbrough are on the railway line between Sheffield and Doncaster, a line that sees a lot of freight traffic. This is part 2 of a series. In this video, the scenes at Mexborough show many of the freight trains using the Roundwood Chord which enables freight traffic to avoid running through Swinton station.
Most freight trains are class 66 hauled, but other locomotives can been seen, this video includes class 88 and 68 plus a class 70.
