Ex-Chiltern 68014 & ECML 67027 On RHTT + Flying Banana HST! | Worcester Shrub Hill Railway Action! |

Join me for a day of railway action at Worcester Shrub Hill, featuring an excellent variety of unusual and interesting workings — from freight to RHTT action and the return of the unmistakable Flying Banana! 🚆🍌

We start early in the morning with 66425, working:

🚛 4M37 – 03:03 Wentloog (Freightliners) to Daventry DRS (Tesco)

Later in the day, we’re back at Shrub Hill for one of the highlights — the arrival of a rather different-looking RHTT formation in the Worcester area.

Leading is 68014, an ex-Chiltern Railways Class 68 which is on hire to Colas for the RHTT season. Bringing up the rear is 67027, another unusual visitor to the area, having recently been used on Thunderbird duties on the East Coast Main Line.

The combination of a Class 68 and Class 67 certainly makes this an interesting RHTT working and a great one to catch at Worcester!

To finish off the day, 43062 & 43014 arrive at Worcester Shrub Hill with Network Rail’s famous Flying Banana measurement train:

What a wonderful sound hearing the power of the Class 43 HSTs at Shrub Hill once again. It’s a reminder of when these iconic trains were an everyday sight here, back when HSTs dominated services on the Great Western Main Line.
