Join me for 36 minutes of railway action filmed at Leamington Spa between 08:00 and 14:30 on 14th September 2026.

Despite a morning affected by delays to several CrossCountry services, there was still plenty to enjoy, with heritage traction, busy passenger services and a superb variety of freight movements throughout the day.

⭐ Today's standout highlight has to be West Coast Railways Class 37s 37669 & 37706 passing through on 5Z67 in their striking maroon livery.

🎬 A fascinating story behind today's thumbnail...

37669 and 37706 were involved in positioning movements into London Marylebone for filming. What's particularly interesting is that the production taking place at Marylebone this weekend is widely reported to be for the forthcoming Beatles biopics, recreating scenes from A Hard Day's Night, whose famous opening sequences were originally filmed at Marylebone in 1964. Capturing these two iconic Class 37s on their way to the Severn Valley Railway made this a particularly memorable movement.
