GWR 7754, 3879 'Haulwen', and more locos at the Blaenavon Industrial steam of South Wales II Gala!

Highlights from the first part of an action packed railway Friday today, and with prior commitments this weekend, I knew I only had today to get the most I could out of a busy weekend of railway galas at various preserved lines this weekend, and mainline action added to the mix made it even more tricky!

This video shows all the action from the first point of call today, the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway's Industrial Steam of South Wales II Gala event, with GWR Pannier Tank 7754 visiting courtesy of the Llangollen & Corwen Railway, Hunslet Austerity No.3879 'Haulwen' courtesy of the Welsh Railway Trust & Gwili Railway and home fleet locomotives Hunslet No.1873 'Jessie' and recent Williton overhaul and contract jobs Andrew Barclay No.2074 'Llantarnam Abbey' and Andrew Barclay No.2201 'Victory' (Fresh from overhaul).

This was certainly an exciting event with plenty for rail enthusiasts and the general public alike, held in South Wales, the gala celebrated the rich heritage of steam locomotives that would have worked in the local area with a range of services from local shuttle trains, to demonstration freights, top and tailed movements and a host of other static exhibits to capture around the site.
