4 Tampers & 1 Rail Grinder… WOW
On Sunday 27th September 2026 the East Coast Main Line saw some works happening near Finsbury Park. This started at 2am and finished at 9am. This was a perfect opportunity to try and see some track machines!
We see two Volker Rail Matisia Tampers as well as on Harsco Rail Grinder!
As a bonus, two Balfour Beatty tampers were being dragged down to Ashford so we decided to see them in the pouring rain just before it got dark!
This video was mainly filmed at Welwyn Garden City Railway Station however one clip is filmed at Welwyn North.
