The final day of the Severn Valley Railway’s Autumn Diesel Bash 2026! 🚂

In this video, we’re back at the Severn Valley Railway for the fourth and final day of the annual Autumn Diesel Bash, bringing an end to what has personally been one of my favourite diesel galas at the SVR.

Our day starts bright and early at the wonderfully atmospheric Arley station, where we capture the first service of the day – Class 50 No. 50033 ‘Glorious’ working the 08:10 Kidderminster Town to Bridgnorth. After calling at Bewdley, the service runs fast through to Bridgnorth, giving us our first taste of another busy day on the railway.

We then spend the next few hours at Arley, watching and filming a variety of services passing through the station before heading north to Highley.

At Highley, I finally get the opportunity to capture a few shots that I’ve wanted to get for a long time. We watch several services come and go before finishing our time there with one of the highlights of the day – the spectacular sight and sound of the double-headed Class 20s!

From Highley, we head back to where this gala started for us: Kidderminster Town.

We spend our final hour or so at Kidderminster watching the last few movements before it’s time to head home, bringing another fantastic Severn Valley Railway gala to a close.

⭐ AUTUMN DIESEL BASH – 1–4 OCTOBER 2026 ⭐

The four-day event featured a busy diesel timetable between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth, with an impressive line-up including:

• Class 42 ‘Warship’ D821 ‘Greyhound’
• Class 46 No. 46045
• Class 50 No. 50033 ‘Glorious’

• Class 108 DMU

This has personally been one of my favourite galas I’ve attended at the Severn Valley Railway. There was a fantastic variety of traction across the four days, and the final day was a brilliant way to bring the event to a close.
