Epping Ongar Railway Autumn Diesel Gala | 47635, D8001, 33116, 26043 & 08114 in Action!

The Epping Ongar Railway put on a fantastic Autumn Diesel Gala weekend, featuring an impressive line-up of home fleet and visiting locomotives operating across the railway.

Join us on Sunday 27th September as we travel the full length of the line from Ongar, through North Weald, to Coopersale in Epping Forest, riding behind all of the mainline diesel locomotives in service throughout the day.

Home fleet locomotives D2170 (Class 03), 08114 (Class 08), D8001 (Class 20) and 47635 (Class 47) are joined by visiting locomotives 33116 (Class 33) and 26043 (Class 26) for a memorable day of heritage diesel action.

The video also features D2170 working the popular Coopersale brake van rides and 08114 hauling the Coopersale DMU service, providing visitors with additional opportunities to travel behind classic heritage traction throughout the gala.

Expect plenty of diesel haulage, station scenes, run-rounds, arrivals, departures and the fantastic sounds of these classic British diesel locomotives as they tackle the gradients of one of the UK's most distinctive heritage railways.
