The sights and sounds of the Severn Valley Railway’s Autumn Diesel Bash 2026, filmed on Day 3 – Saturday 3rd October! 🚂🍂
Our day begins at Arley Station, where morning mist and sunshine combine to create a wonderfully atmospheric start to the day. The peaceful sounds of the countryside, with birds singing and sheep in the distance, don’t last for long though…
The peace is soon broken by the unmistakable sound of Class 42 ‘Warship’ D821 ‘Greyhound’, kicking off our morning of diesel action in spectacular fashion!
We spend the next few hours around Arley, capturing a variety of workings through the station as the Autumn Diesel Bash gets into full swing.
Later, we head lineside along Northwood Lane for more action, giving us a different perspective as locomotives from the gala’s impressive line-up work their trains through the Severn Valley countryside.
For the final part of the day, we make our way to Bewdley Station to capture the evening action before finishing Day 3 in style with a journey behind the impressive double-headed Class 20 combination of 20048 & 20189.
The pair carry the ‘Miss Bridgnorth’ headboard, providing a fitting finale to a fantastic day at one of the highlights of the heritage diesel calendar. 🔊🚂
The four-day Autumn Diesel Bash, running from Thursday 1st to Sunday 4th October 2026, features a busy timetable between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth with an impressive selection of home-fleet and visiting locomotives.
