Binliners & Biomass on the Mid Cheshire
First up itâs DB liveried class 66 no 66092 with 6E16 Knowsley Freight Terminal to Wilton Teeside - an empty binliner.
Itâs then a loaded binliner with Freightliner (Heavy Haul Rail) class 66 no 66589 in original Freightliner livery passing Plumley on 1930 Brindle Heath to Runcorn Folly Lane, with some enthusiastic encouragement from the platform.
GBRFâs class 66 no 66721 âHarry Beckâ is then heard putting on the power as it climbs eastbound with 6E27 1908 Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax, oddly enough loaded with biomass.
Finally just after midnight annd in the pouring rain another loaded biomass working in the hands of GBRFâs 66774 âSue Colesâ passes eastwards which is on 6E34 2159 Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax.
The next morning GBRF class 66 no 66738 âHuddersfield Townâ was leading the previous nights 4H26 2205 Rugby to Tunstead which was due at first light through Plumley, however it was running late and I was caught short, however it was captured from the road with 66738 powering the empties eastwards.
Then an hour or so later a loaded working of stone in the hands of 66741 âSwanage Railwayâ which was leading 6G99 0646 Tunstead to Banbury at pace through Plumley.
Finally much later in the day at Knutsford, Heavy Haul Rail 66545 is handling 1339 Runcorn to Northenden empty binliners.
