Description
Colas Rail Freight Class 70 locomotive 70816 is seen speeding south along the west coast main line and through Bamfurlong south of Wigan on the pleasant evening of Thursday 13th August 2026.

The loud and powerful locomotive class was
manufactured by General Electric in Erie, Pennsylvania, United States. Today 70816 was working the Carlisle to Chirk logs train taking another full load of timber down to the Kronospan plant located pretty much on the England, Wales border. Such a lovely sight and smell on a warm summer's day.
