The Year of the Veterans IV (2023)

Once again, our annual 'Year of the Veterans' film comes around as 2023 draws to a closing end, only this year's collection features a lot more in the first generation variety, and its over 1 hour and 40 minutes longer than the previous year's annual, which was 1 hour and 13 minutes.

February only features one train throughout the whole of that month, while September is the only month in this year's collection that wasn't included, as we didn't get to film anything first generation related during that month owing to being busy at the time.

This particular collection also shows the progression of Pontypool & New Inn station changing over the months, with the footbridge being built through time passage.

The video also shows the CrossCountry HSTs making their final appearances in the annual, as they have been withdrawn from CrossCountry earlier this year, while the GWR HST Castle Sets have been withdrawn from the South Wales area just a few weeks ago, so this video marks the last time that they will be seen at Newport and Bristol.
