The Great Derby Winter Trip - 25th, 26th, 27th & 28th February, 2024

Our latest adventures on the British railways took us back to Derby, where we stayed for three nights in the city's Premier Inn hotel to enjoy four days of filming trains at the various stations that we visited in our winter trip, with plenty of loco-haulage variety to be seen throughout the film that we made.

While most of the film is set in the Midlands, we also made visits to both St Albans Abbey and Watford Junction in Hertfordshire, as well as visiting Sheffield in South Yorkshire on our trip, with the return home including a brief stop at Hereford on the Welsh Marches mainline.

We even managed to score about seven Class 37s during the trip, with six 37s on the Monday, followed by a 7th one on the Tuesday, which includes 37418 in its striking new red and white Loram UK Ltd colours.
