Severn Valley Railway - Spring Diesel Gala (Part Two) - 22/05/22

Part Two of the Diesel Gala at the Severn Valley Railway, only this time, there is a lot more diesel action to be seen in this extra-long video, which runs at approximately 43 minutes and 27 seconds. Turns out we filmed a lot more on Sunday than we did on Saturday.

In this second part, we filmed mainly at Hampton Loade and Bewdly, two stations that we didn't get to film at on Saturday. D1015 'Western Champion' and 50007 'Hercules' are both featured in this video, albeit, both having only one clip filmed each, as we were occupied with the other engines, particularly the Class 68 and the Class 73s.

Midway through the day, DRS 68003 left the SVR after completing its four day loan to the railway for the gala. We filmed the loco leaving the railway at two different angles. One from the heritage railway side, and the other from the mainline Kidderminster station, passing a Class 172 unit in the process.

A Class 08 shunter, D4100 'Dick Hardy', was seen shunting D4 'Great Gable' in the Kidderminster yards, and was filmed from the train window as a bonus.

The final shot of 69005, 73107 and 73136 passing Kidderminster on the mainline was filmed on Monday 23rd May, 2022.

Overall, the Sunday running of the Diesel Gala Weekend was very busy and enjoyable, with plenty of thrash and noise heard at each station we filmed at throughout the day.
