Severn Valley Railway - Spring Diesel Gala - Sunday 17th May, 2026

After two years since our last attendance to the event in 2024, we ventured up to the Severn Valley Railway to attend their fourth and final day of their annual Spring Diesel Gala event, which ran from May 14th to May 17th, 2026.
The spring diesel gala didn't disappoint at all, and while the trains did run somewhat late over the course of the day, the diesel locos, both home fleet and special guests, were running in fine form, with Deltic D9009 'Alycidon', 59001 'Yeoman Endeavour', Class 17 D8568 and GWR 57604 'Pendennis Castle' being our main highlights of the day as a whole.
We aim to also attend the Autumn Diesel Gala in October 2026, so hopefully, there will be more diesel action at the Severn Valley Railway to come.
