Severn Valley Railway - Autumn Diesel Gala - Sunday 6th October, 2024

The Severn Valley Railway were once again out in force with their annual Autumn Diesel Gala weekend event, which this year was hosted from October 3rd to October 6th, 2024.
Their main gala guests were the first working Class 58 diesel locomotive in operational service since 2002, two Class 25 diesel locos, one from South Devon Railway and the other from the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and a GWR HST Castle Class set, as well as their wide range of SVR's home fleet locomotives.
Unfortunately, due to having busy days on this particular weekend, we didn't get to catch 58023, as she didn't run on the Sunday of the event, which was the day that we went up on. But despite not being able to see the Class 58, we were able to enjoy our one day at the diesel gala event and capture some great shots despite only having one video camera to share between us.

In total, we've filmed over 14 out of 21 diesel locos at the gala event, missing out only 58023, 33108, 40106, D182, D9511, 50049 & 50035.
Overall, we enjoyed our one day at the diesel gala, and it was one of the best we've been to, this year.
