Lands End to John O'Groats with Railtrail Tours!
Thursday 8th September to Monday 19th September.
Day 1 Travel to Falmouth Town for a stay in the Royal Duchy Hotel.
Day 2 Cape Cornwall, Lands End and Mousehole.
Day 3 Free Day which included riding some HSTs!
Day 4 Travel to Chester.
Day 5 Ffestiniog and Welsh Highlands Railways.
Day 6 Bala Lake Railway and a boat trip on the Llangollen Canal over the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.
Day 7 First Class travel with Avanti West Coast to Glasgow and then on a Scotrail Class 156 to Bridge of Orchy.
Day 8 A trip on The Jacobite with Black 5 No. 44871.
Day 9 Bagpipes in the Pass of Glen Coe on the way to Inverness.
Day 10 A trip on the Far North Line with Scotrail 158703 to Thurso the most Northerly Railway Station in Great Britain. John O'Groats itself and Wolfburn Whisky Distillery.
Day 11 A trip on the railway to Kyle of Lochalsh.
Day 12 Travel home on the Highland Chieftain.
