Severn Valley Railway - Spring Steam Gala 2019 - Friday 15th March, 2019
Player
Description
Our railway adventures took us to the Severn Valley Railway for a Spring Steam Gala event, which ran on the 15th, 16th and 17th March, 2019.
We went to the steam gala event on the Friday, and the weather was a mixed reception, with the day starting off cloudy and rainy, before the sun eventually came out and provided nicer weather.
We filmed about nine out of the ten steam engines that were running for the event, because guest engine 1051 'Coal Tank' had unfortunately broken down on the Friday running before we could even film it. Despite this slight setback, we managed to film all of the other nine steam engines running the event.
The engines running were:
Pannier Tank 6430
Pannier Tank 1501
7802 'Bradley Manor'
Pannier Tank 7714
GWR 5600 Class Tank No. 5619
BR-Standard 4 No. 75069
Large Prarie Tank No. 4144
GWR 2800 Class No. 2857
GWR 813 Saddle Tank
Filmed at Stations:
Kidderminster
Highley
Bewdley
Overall, we both enjoyed the steam gala event at the Severn Valley Railway, and we will most definitely be looking forward to the Spring Diesel Festival Event in May.
Filmed on Friday 15th March, 2019.
Filmed by Thomas Coombes and Scott Coombes
