Trains on the Mainline and the Severn Valley Railway - Saturday 14th October, 2017
The day starts off with an early morning at Hereford railway station, with filming two Arriva Trains Wales 175 units, before filming the first Great Western Railway HST of the day coming into the platform three. This train was heading for Didcot Parkway, and we got on the HST from Hereford to Worcester Shrub Hill.
Then, heading to Kidderminster on a London Midland Trains 172 unit, we then went over to the Severn Valley Railway, as this was our first time at both this railway and at Kidderminster.
We filmed a Chiltern Railways passenger service (DVT & Class 68) passing by the railway, as steam loco 7802 'Bradley Manor' appears slowly in the same shot.
The rest of the day at Severn Valley Railway was spent riding on the trains on both the steam engines and the Class 108 DMU Set, with these being filmed at different times of the day, as the railway is 16 miles long and it was the first time we had visited the railway.
After a day on the railway, our final shots then close with two London Midland Trains services at Drotwich Spar, one Class 170 set and one Class 172 set heading in opposite directions, where the classic semaphore signals and signal box still stand outside of the station.
