Busy Thursday Morning at Newport (South Wales) - 15/01/26

Our first official video for 2026 is here, and it starts off with a simple yet busy morning at Newport (South Wales), which includes five freight trains, a test train working with a Class 37, and several passenger trains, as well as heavy rain that poured down onto the station platform.

The day starts off in the early hours of 05:45am at a misty Pontypool & New Inn, where the Bangor C.S to Cardiff Canton Taff Vale Sidings test train working is seen with 37607 in its new Swietelsky livery pushing the test train with the DBSO coach leading forwards. After the train briefly stops for a few seconds, 37607 rumbles off making a nice little bit of noise as it disappears into the misty darkness.

Several hours later at Newport (South Wales), a variety of passenger trains and freight trains are seen, including a double freight train shot, heavy rain pouring down onto the station platform and the test train running from Cardiff to Swindon.

Overall, today was a very busy morning indeed and a great start for our future videos in the 2026 season.
