Trains: A Busy Day at Newport (South Wales)

Because of the 2015 Rugby World Cup going on in Cardiff, all of the trains in Newport were packed with rugby fans. The trains were longer than normal with Arriva Trains Wales, First Great Western and CrossCountry having to put extra carriages on their trains to fit in the rugby fans. The three Special Rugby Trains also passed through the station during the afternoon, all heading from London Paddington to Cardiff Central. There were also some light engine movements and freight trains passing on both the URL and DRL. A CrossCountry Voyager also made an appearance during the busy afternoon. Filmed on Sunday 11th October, 2015.
