Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway - First Visit to the Railway - 08/03/20
The steam engine used for the steam service was hauled by GWR 7800 Class 7820 'Dinmore Manor', which was saved from Barry Scrapyard in Wales many years ago, while the railcar service was ran by the green three-car Class 117 DMU.
Most of the filming was focused on the DMU, because it was our very first time riding on a complete Class 117 set at a heritage railway.
Before deciding to go to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, the original plan we had for the day was to go to Weston-Super-Mare and catch 'The Devon Crompton' with Class 33s running on it, but due to the railtour running a lot later than we originally thought, we decided to knock that one on the head, and settle for a first visit to the heritage railway.
It worked out very well in the end, and we had a very relaxing day on the Class 117, and enjoyed the day.
Filmed on Sunday 8th March, 2020.
