Avon Valley Railway - Festival of Transport Event - Saturday 26th September, 2026
While the railway featured several classic cars, a vintage bus ride that took passengers from Keysham railway station to Bitton in connection to the event, we focused our attention on filming the train running on the railway, which featured steam and diesel traction taking turns on the passenger train throughout the day.
31130 'Calder Hall Power Station', which had recently been at the Dean Forest Railway for their annual diesel gala event two weeks prior, was the main loco for the diesel side of the event.
On the steam side, Manning Wardle Works 0-6-0 No. 14 'Charwelton' was running on her first public passenger service following her extensive overhaul, having last ran in 2017. She performed really well and was a nice sight to see on the Avon Valley Railway.
This short movie also marks the 1,100 video uploaded on the channel.
