A short movie featuring the Class 31 diesel locomotive, 31130 'Calder Hall Power Station', running on the Dean Forest Railway during Day 2 of the Autumn Diesel Gala on Sunday 13th September, 2026.
Railfreight-liveried 31130 'Calder Hall Power Station' made a return visit to the Dean Forest Railway for the diesel gala weekend, with her last visit being back in September 2022. We've manged to capture some footage of the Class 31 this time around, after our old Sony 4K Video Camera had broken down and lost all of our footage of her due to an unfortunate fault in the camera.
This year's gala was more on the quieter side of things as there were only three diesel locos running on the Sunday of the event, with 31130, 08888 and 09106 being the three operating locos running along the railway.
Due to a short numbher of clips that were filmed in a short number of hours, this video features just 31130 by herself.
