Short Diesel Film - Severn Valley Railway - 15/08/26
Due to the ongoing heatwaves and wildfires that have been happening across the UK, as well as the lack of any rainfall, many heritage railways, including the Severn Valley Railway, have placed bans on running steam engines, with diesel locos being substituted to take over passenger trains until further notice.
In the place of steam engines, Class 14 D9555 and Class 52s D1015 'Western Champion' and D1062 'Western Courier' were seen running passenger trains from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth throughout the course of the summer's day. Class 46 46045 was also running alongside the Teddy Bear and Westerns, but no footage of her was filmed.
