A Rare Section of Abandoned Modern Tramway!

Channel: Henrys Adventures

Description
With the recent opening of the extension of the Midland Metro from Birmingham New Street aka Grant Central to Centenary Square its easy to forget the Midland Metro once terminated at Birmingham Snow Hill.

In this video we look at the old Birmingham Snow Hill Terminus of the Midland Metro. The terminus closed when the line was extended to New Street Station. We start at by the current St. Chad's tram stop named after St. Chads Cathedral. When the current tramway diverges we follow the abandoned section of the Midland Metro to the old terminus. It's possible in the future this section of tramway could be replaced by a new Platform 4 at Birmingham Snow Hill Railway Station which is served by Chiltern Railways, West Midlands Trains and Vintage Trains Shakespeare Express.
