A visit to the National Railway Museum in 1992
Starting at Stevenage Railway Station we travel on a class 91 and mark 4 carriages, then known as an Intercity 225.
We watch our train depart York and can glimpse a class 141 Pacer.
At the National Railway Museum we see famous steam locomotives such as A4 No. 4468 Mallard, Great Western Railway heavy freight No. 2818 (now at Steam Museum, Swindon), The Stirling Single, Great Eastern Railway No. 87, LMS 1000, Great Eastern No. 1621 and Southern Railway Schools Class No. 925 Cheltenham. We also see the Gas Turbine Advanced Passenger Train Experimental and GWR Broad Gauge "Iron Duke".
Back at York Railway Station we see a HST, a class 142 Pacer and a class 158 Sprinter.
Finally we see our Intercity 225 arrive and a brand new class 60.
