Trains at Newport & Severn Tunnel Junction with Colas Class 67s - 31/03/17
In the early morning of 8am, a DBS Class 66 passes the carpark vantage point with a freight train, before we see an Arriva Trains Wales 150 and CrossCountry 170 pass through several minutes later. Then, newly-painted Colas 67s (67027 & 67023) slowly pass by, on a test train working from Reading Triangle Sidings to Derby R.T.C (Network Rail).
Later, over at Severn Tunnel Junction, some passenger trains are seen, including a three-carriage GWR 150 Unit, and two HSTs passing non-stop, with one of the trains being lead by Inter-City 125 (43002) 'Sir Kenneth Grange.'
The Colas 67s then return to Derby, via the Severn Tunnel, with a DBS 66 on a steel train and a DRS 66 on the Tesco Express passing minutes later. Finally, a Colas Rail Track Machine was seen passing through, with the driver honking the horn to the camera as it went by.
All of the scenes were filmed by Scott Coombes.
