Mini Train Variety - Newport (South Wales) - 17/01/23
Player
Description
A quick mini-movie of some trains that we saw and filmed on our iPhones at Newport (South Wales), which included the appearance of the NMT HST test train (New Measurement Train) working from Derby to Swansea, and the rare appearance of a Northern Class 150 unit, 150270, running a passenger service from Cardiff Central to Holyhead leaving Pontypool & New Inn.
We were just lucky to have been in the area today as we went on a walk during the afternoon. The Northern 150 was presumably on hire to Transport for Wales to cover for other units.
Filmed by Thomas Coombes and Scott Coombes, on Tuesday 17th January, 2023.
