Terminus Station: Cwmbran - Wednesday 2nd May, 2018 (Short Film)
Due to the electrification works on n the Western Mainline, trains on the Welsh Marches mainline terminated as far as Cwmbran railway station, with rail replacement busses then taking the people from the train and onto the bus to Newport and Cardiff by road.
Once the trains finish their journey at Cwmbran and the passenger go for the rail replacement busses in the car park, the empty trains would then travel down to Maindee North Junction and turn around, before coming back up to begin the next journey from Cwmbran to Manchester or Holyhead.
While we watched these service trains terminate at Cwmbran, we did get two freight workings and a DVT stock move, which was taken from Cardiff to Crewe by the rare sight of a Chiltern Railways Class 68 (68011).
