Trains at Bristol Temple Meads and Stapleton Road - Thursday 26th October, 2017
The day was very hectic for Bristol Temple Meads, as there were many delays and a few cancellations, due to a passenger disruption on a train, which caused these delays to happen. Despite the many announcements of delays being heard over the station, we still managed to film some trains here.
First, a Great Western Railway 150/1 unit in blue First Great Western livery heads out of the station, before a CrossCountry 125 HST came into the station a few minutes later. We then filmed a three car Class 166 unit in green GWR colours, which look like very smart trains in this livery too.
During the wait for our train to Stapleton Road, a pair of top and tail DBS Class 66s (66152 & 66024) were seen on the relief line with Network Rail RHTT tanks in between them. When we got onto our train for Stapleton Road after waiting a while, I was just lucky enough to film the 66s with the RHTT tanks from the window of the train, as our train was still in the platform at this time. The RHTT tanks had recently been doing a leaf-clearing duty, and so they were heading into the yards that were a few metres outside of the station.
Once we got to Stapleton Road, we then filmed a few trains there, before we then headed back to Bristol Temple Meads later in the afternoon.
