Special Trains and Maintenance Trains on the Welsh Marches - 24/02/17

Description
A small bit of mixed traction came through the Welsh Marches today, which were seen at Pontypool & New Inn and Cwmbran.

First, DRS 68024 'Centaur' is seen stopping at New Inn with the 'Six Nations Welsh Rugby Supporters Train' heading from Carmarthen to Edinburgh. Then, the Royal Train makes a surprising appearance with DBS 67006 & 67005 top and tailing it, before the Network Rail NMT HST passes through on its Crewe C.S to Derby R.T.C (Network Rail) working to Newport.

In Cwmbran, while waiting for the NMT HST to return through the Welsh Marches, a Colas Rail Track Machine then moves through the station, before the test train passes through several minutes later. This was quite a nice little variety seen in South Wales today.

All of this was filmed on Friday 24th February, 2017.
