The Red Dragon - Tyseley Steam Trust to Cardiff Central - 11/03/17

Today, steam locomotive GWR 4073 Class 5043 'Earl of Mount Edgcumbe' was seen working 'The Red Dragon' steam charter, heading from Tyseley Steam Trust to Cardiff Central. We filmed at three different locations to get it.
First, we filmed the steam charter head from Tyseley to Cardiff, via Gloucester and Chepstow, making a quick whistle to the camera as 5043 passed by, on the DRL at Newport.
Later, when the train was making the return journey from Cardiff to Tyseley, it headed along the Welsh Marches mainline, passing through Cwmbran, and then passing through Panteg, just outside of Pontypool & New Inn.
Filmed on Saturday 11th March, 2017.
