Rare Class 59 Appearance in South Wales - Pontypool - 09/02/24

Description
Two types of freight workings appeared in the Welsh Marches area today.
First, DBC 66089 is seen passing through Pontypool & New Inn on the weekly steel freight working heading from Margam T.C to Dee Marsh Reception Sidings.
Next, in an unusual movement, a Class 59 makes a rare appearance into South Wales on an initially cancelled working heading from Westbury Tarmac to Crewe Bas Hall S.S.M, with 59104 draggi9ng 66572 and three wagons trailing them for repairs. How or why this service got cancelled and reinstated is anyone's guess.
