Mini Convoy with DVT and the One Wales Express - Pontypool - 08/05/18

A little bonus seen at Pontypool & New Inn, on Tuesday 8th May, 2018. Two trains within one minute from each other came at almost the same time on the Welsh Marches mainline.

First, DRS Nothern Belle liveried 57305 'Northern Princess' is seen passing through Platform 2, taking both DRS 37423 'Spirit Of The Lakes' & DVT 82152 all of the way from Norwich C.Pt T.&R.S.M.D to Cardiff Canton Sidings. It's quite rare to see a small convoy like this on the Pontypool line.

Then, once the mini convoy went through, we were just about to start walking home, before the One Wales Express pulls into Platform 1, with DVT 82306 & DBS 67020 heading from Cardiff Central to Holyhead. The driver of the DVT gave a small toot on the horn to us, as we filmed it leaving New Inn.

This was definitely a really nice bonus to get at Pontypool & New Inn railway station. ^^
