Thunderstorm Trains - Kidderminster - 16/05/21

Under the darkening thunderstorm clouds, freshly repainted BR-Green 47773, a visiting diesel loco from Vintage Trains, is seen leaving Kidderminster with one of the booked passenger services with Crompton 33108 seen on the rear of the train.

The train, as well as the semaphore signals and signal box at Kidderminster, produce a real first-generation time warp scene, which often characterises the heritage railways that keep this theme alive for all rail enthusiasts.

As the first train leaves, we hurriedly turn around to see visiting diesel loco 20227, painted in eye-catching London Transport livery, bringing in another one of the booked trains into Kidderminster with Peak 40106 on the back of the train.
