Player
Description
In torrential rain weather, ScotRail 47712 'Lady Diane Spencer' makes a surprise visit into South Wales, leading 'The Settle to Carlisle and Coastal Statesman' railtour charter through Pontypool & New Inn, heading from Cardiff Central to Carlisle. 47593 'Galloway Princess' was on the back of the charter in it's striking BR Large Logo livery.
A few seconds later, DBC 67029 'Royal Diamond' trundles into Pontypool on the One Wales Express heading from Crewe to Cardiff Central.
The rain may be wet, but it was certainly worth getting up early in the morning to see the ScotRail Class 47.
