I've seen Network Rail Inspection trains at Mexborough before, but not one with a Driving Brake Second Open leading. It did look strange gradually appearing into shot.
The formation was -
9703 (DBSO : Driving Brake Second Open)
62287 (Ultrasonic test coach (UTU 2)
9808 (Mk2E BUO [ERS])
6260 (Mk1 BG Generator Van)
96609 (Brake Force Runner [Colas])
37425 "Sir Robert McAlpine / Concrete Bob"
It sounded good when the driver opened the 37 up just as it was passing me.
