It was a very cold and frosty morning at Panteg, where we went to see a winter steam special pass through, which was 'The Christmas Cheshireman', heading from Bristol Temple Meads to Chester.

This year, the steam loco was British Railways Britannia Class 70013 'Oliver Cromwell', which is seen on the special charging up through Panteg, with diesel loco 47580 'County Of Essex' providing power on the back of the train, making a nice little first generation sound from behind.
